Move’in program

A printing adventure

The Move’in Kit is an individualized printing assessment and intervention program that can be implemented once per year for children grades K through 3, and more frequently by children with special needs.

Move’in is derived from fine motor skill development theory and is designed to improve children’s printing, which in turn helps with spelling and sentence structure. Move’in comes with a revolutionary computer program called Play’in the Lines that helps children improve motor planning, the most common cause of printing difficulties.

The Move’in Kit comes in two versions: the Home Kit and the School Kit.

Move in Kits
These are identical in design, however the school kit comes with enough supplies to service a whole classroom. Move’in for Schools comes with a database that tracks student’s progress, providing required reports for educational planning and documentation (IEP’s).

The Move’in for Home Program is designed for 1-5 players and the Move’in for School Program is designed for up to 30 players. The Move’in for School program database produces progress reports for educational planning purposes.

Key benefits:

  1. By watching the Move’in film, students will learn that printing is a motor skill, just like playing sports. Printing requires posture, coordination, vision, and lots of practice.
  2. Individualized assessment and custom intervention is achieved when students play the Ready, Set, Move’in game and utilize printing accessories from the Move’in Kit.
  3. Provision of the relevant To Do Card for each unaccomplished game square, assigns a specific task to the child as an intervention tool. Move’in Cards offer fun exercises after completion of each square.
  4. Play’in the Lines computer program summarizes To Do Cards and provides custom journals and workbooks so students can practice their printing techniques, e.g. strokes, shapes, letters and numbers.
  5. Move’in also comes with an easy to use computer database that allows teachers to document students’ printing skills. The Move’in database is available in the School version only.
